Komis Drill Results - Analysis
Don't let claims of bulk tonnage deposit potential fool you. Komis drill results are nothing less than stellar cores with narrow-vein underground mining potential.
Remember the tiresome claims by Rodney Orr, "open pit - open pit - open pit" for a lengthy period of time when in matter of fact, you have rich narrow-vein deposits. So when they say 'bulk-tonnage,' they really mean that they have expanded the narrow vein system over a greater area. Remember, they first planned somewhat insanely to bulk mine the Komis deposit at an 11- 1 strip ratio, which was completely absurd before relenting and presenting their more sane underground development plans.
The drill fences of the latest round are all perpendicular to the Komis deposit, and are all in areas not previously drilled off. They must have run into them with the advance of underground development and started looking beyond the historical known trend.
You would have entirely missed these perpendicular veins to the Komis deposit, which range over a much larger area, had you drilled in an north-west orientation along with the Komis deposit, rather than looking for veins in a north-east trending direction, these veins would not have been discovered.
The known Komis deposit is disappointingly small, but with these new results, you are seeing a potential mine expansion to the Komis operation.
Its not unusual to find veins 'cross-hatching.' I had originally been hoping for the discovery of en-echelon veins, but this is just as good. As such, the company has made a discovery, much like the en-echelon vein(s) of the Roy Lloyd mine.
