Developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources
Good find, Solyomtwo. György cannot speak for XOM, but he understands that the F1 well tests are not a reflection on the whole Mako gas play. No doubt, Mako will compete with other projects that XOM has on its portfolio, and the drilling and tests done during the Phase 1 will direct its actions. In my opinion, XOM will continue onto Phase 2, the announcement coming at the end of the 120 days mentioned in another post. The phase drilling and testing will influence the unitization negotiations that have been under way, and I would think that we will hear about this issue again in the new year, after the Phase 2 announcement. F1 has probably weakened FO's hand, but it has not, in anyway, killed the Mako project. Pipe's dreim will revive, and along with that a knight will start peddling free cheese to unsuspecting mice again. Remember, it aint over until the fat lady sings...any one heard modric sing lately?
