Some thoughts...

One of the callers on the conference call yesterday asked about comparisons to Aurelian. While the company said it was too early to make that determination, they did not wave it off as pie in the sky either. The reason that I think this might be worth contemplating is that there were undoubtedly traders who flipped in and out of ARU thinking that the gaps on the chart will get filled. Everyone knows...gaps always get filled. But in ARU's case, they did not get filled and anyone trading on that assumption got left on the platform or ended up chasing it down the tracks.

I have been scouring the Internet trying to find a chart of ARU.TO from that time period but as they were acquired by Kinross, all traces of ARU seem to have been relegated to the Big Bit Bucket in the sky. The guy who was pounding the table to splinters on Aurelian (when it was still under fifty cents) is doing it again on EVG. Usually he is in and out in less time than it takes most people to finish a cup of coffee, but he thinks EVG is a keeper, so I am paying attention. No guarantees, of course, but I think the parallels are interesting and for myself, I am keeping them in mind.
