Message: Re: The Perfect Storm for a $0.65 cash bid?

I think there is a lot more to come.

I would not be surprised if this is just round one.

WTG softens up shareholders who were originally looking forward to $2.00+ per share.

After enough softening anything up to a buck looks good.

A white knight rides in with an $.80/share offer and we all take are profit and run just glad to be rid of the stress.

The white knight walks away with CMM for a song and within a year it is trading at over $3.00 per share and climbing based on existing reserves. Within two years reserves have been expanded, CMM is trading at $5.00+ per share and exploration programs are announced for other CMM properties like Northbelt to further expand the resource base. Within five years the $.80/share CMM is trading at over $10.00/share.

CMM shareholders find out later that the stall during the WTG merger was to allow another Russian mining company to register on the TSX in order to make the white knight offer.

Does anyone really believe that the players in the mergers and acquisition game don't know how to play retail shareholders. Think again.

Mikhail Prokhorov’s Intergeo Tests The Water In Toronto

By John Helmer in Moscow

When we put down the telephone to Maxim Finsky’s office at Intergeo last week in Moscow, he wasn’t saying much of anything about his attempt to persuade Canadian shareholders to accept his proposed merger of two junior gold miners he controls, White Tiger Gold and Century Mining.

Just three days later, he and his old school chum, Mikhail Prokhorov, have released parallel announcements, placed in two Moscow business papers on April 5th, in which they claim they are planning to sell shares of their mineral prospecting company, Intergeo, on the Toronto Stock Exchange soon. They also claim that the market valuation of the assets, and thus of Intergeo’s shares, is US$3 billion.

As a footnote to the White Tiger story, this is a Bigfoot footnote.
