I find it interesting that nissan has still not announced a battery supplier even though they have been talking about going with a new supplier for over a year. If it were clearcut they would have announced LG chem as the supplier months ago so it would appear that they are considering other options.

Also had issues with overheating and was looking to change separator.

Dongfeng is one of their JV partners has still not announced their supplier (as far as I know). They announced LG chem would supply bus batteries but I haven't seen any announcement regarding supplier for the cars. Daimler will now be able to compare the batteries from LG chem and Electrovaya/Litarion. The deal with LG chem offered no timeline.

Just interesting that several companies involved in this alliance is not firm on a battery supplier. There must be some competition going on in the background.
