Message: Plugging in: Chrysler goes big with electric hybrid vehicles; minivan test fleet

Since you missed the conference call I will post the highlights. They are currently bidding on grid projects with NKE and ABB. They are able to produce what they believe is the largest container currently available at 1.5 Mwh and there is alot of interest from several companies for grid storage. They are in the process of increasing manufacturing capacity from 40 Mwh to approx. 135 Mwh with completion expected around march or april 2012. In JV talks with companies in China, India, Japan and EU with Tom Lesorda in charge of this area. They stated demand is growing rapidly. They are in touch with 3, 4 or 5 major OEM's and were approached by them. Seems to be alot of interest in their green manufacturing process. Chrysler project could be very large. Auto ISO certification projected for Jan. 2012. I too have been frustrated with lack of PR but when talking to IR they state they can't release info if client does not want it released because of competition. They also state they can't release any info until a deal is signed. Just trying to read between the lines on what I have read it seems to me it is the old catch 22 where companies will not sign with you if you do not have to capacity to meet their production needs or deadlines. Until they increase their production capacity substantially it will reamain an issue but they are in that process now. I wouldn't be surprised to see another expansion next year as well.
