Kellen Moore suffered a broken ankle and he's going to be out for months ... but you guys already knew that and you don't need me to give you headlines.
What I will tell you is this exposes years of bad decisions by the Cowboys to bring in a capable backup QB that can carry the team if Tony Romo goes down again. The Cowboys have simply relied waaaaaayyy too much on Tony Romo and that has burned them time and again.
I'm not talking about his skill - I'm talking about the weight they put on him. In the early years, he had no OLine or running game to support him, so he was forced to throw and that got him into interception trouble.
I also think that made him more prone to injuries. Defences were just teeing off on the Cowboys heavy pass offence and Tony paid the price. Now, he's injury prone but the Cowboys continue to bet the farm on him by refusing to sign a top backup QB.
What gives Jerry? How can you bet the entire season on any one guy? If Romo goes down again - and I'd give that a 15% chance - you're throwing away another season. Sign another QB and stop playing injury roulette with the team and the fans.
