My impression is that today is seeing profit taking. Then the profiteers are feeling giddy and speculating a bit.

Dow seems to be in a rest mode today because of the climb to 10k, plus there is the profit taking (saw the auto selling when it first hit 10k yesterday). Not sure how much longer this can last, but there should be some more upside for a little while.

The housing market brought this down before and will likely do so again with the pending ARMs and Option-A's recasting beginning later this month. May not happen right away, but that train is a comin'.
