The court's recent ruling adding Additional Creditors guarantees the SPO will continue even if VZ settles with KRY and COF out of cour.t  Before this ruling, yes, it would have made sense for VZ to settle with those two Creditors because it would have been much cheaper and that might have forced the legal process to start over with the other Creditors.
