Venezuela to develop gold industry

The gold industry will be developed in Venezuela as part of the agreements signed by the government of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in his recent visit to China, as Venezuela holds the second largest gold reserves in Latin America.

In that regard, President Maduro explained that a special plan had been outlined to turn the gold industry into a new source of income for Venezuela.

Maduro added that the Minister of Petroleum and Mining and President of state-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), Eulogio Del Pino, will be working along with an ad-hoc team to rearrange the entire gold sector in the country.
