aunti, i wish i could be more optimistic for the sake of those here but the truth is i'll be watching and waiting for a turn in this story but i would'nt buy cry with EZ's money at this point. i think there is a long dangerous road ahead with too many unknowns and too many bad "knowns".

i'm not sure where you get "only one more year to go"?

ven now has 29 pending cases against it at icsid. vanessa/IG and venezuela submitted their cost's (what should be the final step before award/decision) a year ago and still no award. the case is over 8 years old now.

of the 7 cases involving venezuela in the last 16 years that are concluded the vast majority were either settled by the parties or "concluded" because of non-payment by the company suing ven. the only one that comes to mind that actually fought it out to the end and got awarded anything was autopista..and that was no great victory.

short of a settlement of some kind with venezuela (who is now in the drivers seat because they have all the time in the world) i dont see this madness ending anytime soon.
