In order to guarantee the integral defense of the nation and to improve the capacity of unfolding and reaction of the National Armed Forces Bolivariana president Hugo Chavez last night announced the creation of 10 Military districts that are located in the Guajira and the south of the lake of Maracaibo (Zulia state), the North Táchira (Táchira), the Null one, Orichuna and the Yagual (He worries).

He informed that such districts will be located in the Guajira and the south of the lake of Maracaibo (Zulia state), the North Táchira (Táchira), the Null one, Orichuna and the Yagual (Worries), Altagracia de Orituco (Guárico), Ravines of the Orinoco (Monagas), Pijiguaos (Bolivar) and Güiria (Sucre).

Of equal way, he indicated that they are realising the studies for the creation of Military districts within urban zones of our country. Especially within great cities like Caracas and Maracay.

“Today I finish decreeing the creation of the first 10 military districts. Within the framework of the new Statutory law of the National Armed Forces Bolivariana we are creating these military districts.

You know that we have, in first instance, the Regions of Integral Defense, in second level the Zones of Integral Defense and in third level they are the Military districts (...) an integral vision from the Guajira to Pariah”, affirmed the President, this Tuesday, during the act of aim saluting year to the FANB, realised in the Quarter Abelardo Merida of the Aragua state.
