Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
of course they could, but then we go to arbitration. no matter how they cut it the CVG is the ven govt...one way or another the ven's have to pay..
Absolutely. I'm thinking Sunday Hugo will announce that "Las Cristinas" will be mined by China\Russia....."our great friends in the fight against U.S. imperialism". Expect either no mention or a vague reference to "taking Las Cristinas back from the foreign national Crystallex for the benefit of all of the Venezuelan people". Monday we get a press release confirming that the deal has been consummated complete wth permit and the shareholder ballots are in the mail.
If Hugo takes anything other than this approach, he's totally out of his mind.
It is interesting to note that the El Mundo article made NO mention of the social projects or the hundreds of millions invested by KRY to date. Odd since they seemed to get most of the other facts pretty much straight, including the investment made by Placer Dome.
Talk about sleaze. What an ignorant, lying, disgusting band of misfits control the decision making process of that country.
