I need to continue with my thoughts:

I don't think the Chinese even care or asked permission from Chavez when they made the deal with KRY. Why should they care anyway!! They are now in the driver's seat with 2/3 majority and Billions of dollars to support it. I think it is very well possible that an arbitration is on the horizon now and Hugo has crapped. What keeps nagging my mind is that the Chinese and KRY went to the Vz officials to tell them what they did and the Vz's reported post Chines/KRY agreement that it was a good looking idea. Seemed to me they didn't know what was going on behind the scenes.

Now, arbitration filed for $5 B. settle for $3 B in 3 years and our share is $1 B. Looks like $2.00 a share for us. Hopefully more.

Who, other than Chinese/KRY mine it, would want to take Las Cristinas over being $5 B in the hole. Nobody. Common sense is for Chinese/KRY get the permit and mine the gold as a JV.
