In a much earlier post I wrote his saber rattling and ranting and warning the public of an imminent attack by the USA would give him an excuse to postpone elections in the Fall and feed on the support by partiotisim which did not work for him so now he is using internal strife to present himself with the excuse that he is strategizing, according to Luengo.

I hope it doesn't work. The elections are required and will weaken his control. He knows it and is feeling the pinch. You can be sure he intends to use all stops to prevent it and violence appears to be on the horizon hopefully not in the Tienaman Square scope. With Cuban officers running his National Guard it looks bad for citizens and students who oppose him.

At this point we've got not much left to lose so a change in the AN may help. Who knows!!!
