Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
If you have been reading comments of Vz readers following the newspaper articles in El Universal Venezuela, 90% are trashing HC, his government and his policies. Especially because of the rolling blackouts and devaluation of the currency which eroded savings to half their value.
By giving the Vz peoples' billions of dollars of money away to to foreign countries to boost his popularity abroad and spread his 21st Centuary revolution instead of hiring his own people to build infrastructure like electric grids he has changed the way his population is seeing him and his government. So these "comments" say. They can hardly wait for Sept elections to dump legislators to weaken his control of parliament and eventually get HC out. This means, if the threats are good that many legislators will be out of jobs.
He is a sly one. He recently changed the voting boundries in many zones to give his cohorts winning chances in Sept due to demographic lines where he is popular. El Universal is printing these articles along with readers "comments" who are mad as hell. Protest marches are scheduled for Jan 23.
Meanwhile legislatures know their time is running out because of all the anger and desention developing among his supporters even. dumb move/Smart move restoring full implementation of eletric power in Caracus. people were preparing to riot which scared the hell out of him. This will reflected in the polls.
By expropriating chains of businesses all over the place legislators can line their pockets and bank accounts before they are kicked out and out of a job. The weaker the government becomes the higher the incidents of corruption. They'll run out of the country with a bagful of money. Duvallier of Haiti is a good example. There are many others like him in the history of Latin America and Vz lawmakers will join that crowd of thieves. Their desperation grows.
This may be the end of the 21st Century Revolution of South America by HC. HC thinks he can Cubanize Venezuela but Vz is not an island as is Cuba, so it will never happen. He continues to dig himself into a deeper hole.
Hopefully a change in the AN that weakens HC will give us a positive chance for mining LC.
These are all hypothetical observations based on reading several Vz newspapers, for some time now, newspaper editors which are still brave enough to express alternative views.
"Viva la Venezuela libre!" This is a phrase coming up more often in the Vz papers.
