this decree is a bargaining chip designed specifically for the LC/LB dillema. since this decree was put in place after the notification to the ven govt of the dispute i dont think it would affect valuation in ICSID. but it would certainly affect valuation if ven granted the permit now....

CJR I was thinking the same thing. Actualy it makes the permit granting more likely, dosen't it? Although there will be at least a two year period of time until KRY mining would actually produce gold and much could change politically between now and then. The way the Venezuelan economy is faltering, The Bolivar could also implode and become worthless. Forcing miners to sell their gold at a diminished exchange rate sounds like a new ICSID case to me. Well like I said earlier, the way the playing feild is being tilted, I think the best value (unfortunetly) would be realized by an arbitration award. Too bad we have to do buisness with crooks and idiots. IMO
