Mineonmoney posted an article about the Chinese fire sale earlier in which reinforced the fact that Billary C. went to China and one of the things she secured was financing promises from the Chinese to continue proping our Government up with infusions of money. The short term effect in the gold price is more confidence that the currency (Dollar) and that is it wont implode soon. That along with the recent co-ordinated efforts of the Executive and the Treasury with speaches and possible dumping of metal reserves has temporarily stalled the panic buying of gold. GW has it right the price will go up but inflation will stay low as long as inventories are high and manufacturers sell their goods nat cost or for a loss to raise cash. One day the surplus will ebb, and inflation associated with all that printed money will happen.
