Chavez and Fidel, Why is Chavez hestitating?

It is quite apparent that both Chavez and Fidel hate transnational corporations, and both hold on to a socialist ideology. When Fidel was in power he nationalized everything, and effectively stop any progress from the point he started nationalizing. Fidel as a leader really did not suffer much, however, his people paid the price. The big difference between Venezuela and Cuba are the people. In Cuba there were not enough people to form a resistance against Fidel, unfortunately, this was probably a result of his terror tatics. Thus, there were very few public demostrations. In Venezuela the people are not being supressed as badly and hence we see the public demostrations. What does this mean for our situation? As the situation gets worst in Venezuela as a result of low oil prices the people wil put pressure on Chavez for work. The question is will there be enough pressure from the people for Chavez to abandon his current trend of nationalization and Russian diplomacy to return to transnationals. Its seems the only way the messages are getting through to Chavez are large demonstrations against his policies.
