Gold up over $20\oz. last night at around 12:00 am ET...now down (as usual) when the US market opens up with LIBOR rate (the root cause of the global financial meltdown) still up. One would think that gold, the ultimate safe haven, would respond to the continued FUBAR conditon of the LIBOR rate...but not if the interventionists have anything to do with it. BTW...the question was posed a few days back...what happens if the COMEX defaults due to the obvious manipulation of the paper gold market. According to Jim Puplava (financialsense.com), this would be a good thing if you own gold or the gold shares.

PS: Where is our permit? Hugo does not appear to be in any hurry here. I wonder when we'll start selling off the Detroit Diesels....GRZ thought it would be a good idear. Would that give us a pop in our share price?
