I think you nailed it Dparge. This is a huge development because it FINALLY takes Ortega out of the picture. Since she's the VP's wife, and adamently oppsed to mining, we weren't going anywhere while she was still in charge.

Tink about it. The AN recommendation and Chavez's intevention back in June got this ball rolling. Garcia's subsequent negotiations with KRY and the site visit to LC made it a reality. And now the Gazetta proclaimation made it official.

IMO, its a done deal. The Vennies are just awaiting the right opportunity to make the announcement so to garner the most political bamg.
