The protest, peaceful nature, is framed in claiming the owner of Mibam, Rodolfo Sanz, answers to their promises to pay compensation under the now defunct mining counterclaim.

"We know the bona fides of the minister, but must understand that this June 24 under two years after the signing of Decree 4633 conversion mining, and we have not received a reply from the compensation that was promised to each miner," he pointed.

The group also expects the reintegration into the labour market, through credit cooperatives and, as well as the granting of pensions and the allocation of 350 direct jobs in La Paragua.

For his part, Luis Romero, an advisor to mining cooperatives in the municipality Gran Sabana, accompanied by Ana Silva, Isaiah Guimeite, Jose Luis Rivas and Kioni, raised the situation facing the supply of fuel.

He indicated that waiting for the "sincerity" in the quota of fuel for mining cooperatives and social fuel, which is high incidence in the population of Ikabarú. "Here it is not a problem of social, ecological, social but because over 20 thousand people in Ikabarú need fuel to move," he said. (CM)
