I tend to agree with Sasa on this one.

IMO the whole Ortega thing is because she's unhappy with the "mining reform" that we have heard about forever and turns out to be putting Sanz in charge of all aspects of mining, including environmental permitting.

As usual in Venezuela, it's either a holiday or an election campaign that seems to divert them from business. Today is the PSUV primary, and a very odd one indeed -- the top vote getter in the area gets to run for governor, the next for mayor if a big town and the next for the AN (or some such nonsense).

I don't think that they have a sense of urgency to deal with anything.
