I had a good look at CCY about a year ago and did hold some paper for a while but sold it at 9cents or so.

The have a good sized deposit, great infrastructure and a compelling SP/Market cap and probably a number of other solid points that Accountant could probably list off readily.

My concern with CCY is Greenslade and his record with BAJ. Some of that M.O. is demonstrated in the fact that his daughter, Denby, currently serves as CFO but only holds a BA in Communication. She's hardly a silverback of the accounting world and her position appears to repeat the nepotism that Mr Greenslade demonstrated at BAJ before he presided over its huge fall from grace.

There isn't much exploration upside there. They have the two deposits/zones in Mount La Verde and they appear to be largely drilled out. There is a big geophysical anomally just south of the little mountain but it is overlain with flat, rather prime farmland with lots of little parcels. That geophysical anomally would be hard to develop without expensive and politically sensitive conversion of that farmland.

Another concern is the arsenic (and maybe other deleterious contaminates) in the concentrate. The reports i've read haven't really put a pin into those problems and a recent director added to the board was likely picked due to his expertise in this kind of metallurgical problem. Any of these kinds of contanimates ellicit a penalty at the smelter which severely impacts economics of the whole deposit. Also, the word 'arsenic' ellicits a good point of contention for local stakeholders and environmentalists. Much of the local water supply (a canal) is litterally right at the toe of La Verde and a river is not much farther away.

Those 3 concerns really put me off of CCY and I would suggest putting some dd into those issues. As I said, I haven't looked closely at more recent developments so some of the above might have shifted.
