I've been looking at where to put my money after CUU or SC get bought. I imagine that we'll be bought out before the end of the year if everything goes according to plan.
I was looking at Balmoral Resources and have been liking what I see. They have good management (West Timmins management) and the same sort of approach as West Timmins and CUU (Sell their properties) which is something that I like. They're next to Detour Gold which has said they'd be looking to expand so it makes them a good takeout candidate. This would happen after they start producing in 2013 - which is great timing for us since I figure if CUU gets the BFS out in September, this should be wrapped up at the latest in January (120 days after BFS drop) which should hopefully be a good entry point if the stock doesn't rise too much before then.
I'm thinking if there is a CUU2, it'll probably start off at a "premium" after a huge success selling SC and I can buy back later down the road cheaper - or the amount that we could rise a year after selling SC is less than other opportunities out there and can reinvest at a later time.
Does the board have any opinions? Or where do you guys plan on putting your CUU earnings? I'd especially be interested in hearing from Chappy/Webgogs/Mudguy in regards to what they think of the geology of Balmoral.
