When the first round of tariffs came into effect last June 15 the price of copper dropped from $3.25 down to $ 2.60 a few months later. It's improved since then due to very strong fundamentals. I expect the price to pop back over $ 3.00 if the trade deal between US-China is signed, which sounds like it could happen next week with the next round of talks.
