My son made a good analogy the other day:

"Canada is like a supertanker in the ocean. Sometimes the captain steers it to the left, then another captain comes along and steers it to the right. In the end, we move in the general direction of where we want to be."

I don't think it's a bad analogy but I'd replace supertanker with raft. Maybe even the SS Minnow. For better or worse, we've all been learning to survive together shipwrecked on this island created by CUU and the Venture exchange.
