CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
Also, as for the copper producers, I remember reading an article talking about Teck buying copper producers.
But think about it this way. At the current market conditions, would you sell your best copper assets to your competitor and if so at a bargain price, fair price, high price?
it's not as easy as it sounds. There is a reason that a company would sell a producing copper asset. If it's good, there willbe people to outbid you.
