It should very interesting to watch and see what happens and what, if any impact, could CUU see at SC if Teck pull out of Fort Hills and redeploy capital elsewhere. If they get nervous about making that investment, then perhaps they will return to what they know....mining base and precious metals.
=================
Where do you get the information that Teck could pull out of their JV? I don't think so. It is a billion+ JV agreement. They can't just willy nilly take their money and go home... Nobody would partner with them again and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't even be legal for them to do so.
Teck has made it very clear they are committed to oil, so you are barking up the wrong tree I think.
Regarding their plan - why not state it in one of their NRs? What could it possibly hurt to say they have a long term plan? I mean really? We should have to call the office? State your plans so the market can see it. Let the market know they are finacially prepared for a wait if needed. Its the market that needs convincing - not this board.
How is the company saying "don't worry, we have your back. Here is our finacial plan to get to the other side of this market" a bad thing? Really? What is the harm? Very defensive about something that seems sensible. Don't think investors on the sidelines don't care about any of this.
Regarding the other boards, 99% of your posts are on other boards. Obviously you see value posting on them? Otherwise, why are you posting there?
