Message: Teck Quarterly Reports

So if this is what Teck is thinking, why would they be taking so long to apply for EA permitting, building roads, etc.?...they essentially just burned up a yr of development, and if they dont make up their mind soon they wont be ready to develop next year either.

You're right but roads can be built anytime. Teck has the permits from the Galore Creek project. So if they do want to get into production, roads can be started.

The other question I have, is if this is the case, how do you think that will impact our buyout with them making this a smaller initial project?

I guess one more thing, Im not power engineer, but if they go smaller, wouldnt that mean their draw on the NTL would be less - would it make sense for them to 10 yrs later be fighting to get upgraded to service Shaft into more production? I would think you would want to secure all your power needs now, especially if this area may become a "mining district"

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

No idea on this. Even with the curent BF, I have no idea on valuing the buyout.
Fact is that Teck is moving along in the studies and trying to look at SC in another angle to improve the economics.
I would probably suggest calling the office.
