BigBuck said that he asked about the BC Hydro study at the AGM and was told that the study was in Teck's hands at the moment and it will lead to a more detailed study once the optimization studies are complete with a new mine plan.
This is what they said comes next after the Agreement is approved, however, if they are going to change the size of the mine then they might need to rework the original study. Or, maybe it is a quick update once the basics are taken care of because I'm sure Elmer would have told them that it could be upsized.
Upon completion of the Study and following presentation, review and acceptance of the Study, Copper Fox expects to sign a facilities agreement whereby BC Hydro would then implement interconnection work, including detailed design and engineering, procurement for major equipment and construction and commissioning of the facilities.
BCHydro recently told the Press that they would not be able to meet the May 31st deadline. They weren't officially specific about how long the delay would be but someone did say they had called and were told it would only be a matter of weeks. The Hydro guy said about two weeks of checks on the line needed to be done before it was energized.
I'm sure there will be a big photo op moment with the Premier when the switch is flipped.
