Good luck on deducting a CUU share purchase! It's not an expense, it is a non-deductible asset, until it is sold that is. If they amalgamate, they may get a "bump" and be able to add it to a non-depreciable capital asset. Amalgamation may also result in availablilty of CUU losses carry-forward.
