Brian, are you suggesting that Canada can seriously think of redirecting our oil-flow from US refineries to China`s refineries?
I understand Rebel`s immaturity and luck of knowledge of how the U.S. government works. It can be blame on his youth and inexperience. But you are in my age bracket and you should know better.
Just in 2007 U.S. direct investment (including energy sector) in Canada was $289 billion. This is equivalent of $3 trillions invested in American economy.
Our prosperity and security totally depends on our Big brother. Close to 80% of our export goes to U.S. What do you think would happen to our 1million car export to U.S. if we redirect our oil to China?
Do you think industrial and political lobby that runs the U.S Federal and State Governments including Congress and White House would allow for this to happen?
As you well know Politics my friend is just a cover for the big business to accumulate the wealth and participate in privileges.
