Marlboro:

Actually, many of the analysts at present are forecasting a major depressionary event. The time frame for the onset of such predictions range from June 2010 to October 2010. Predictions of severity range from Dow 6000 to Dow 1000 at the bottom and projected durations of the depressionary cycle lasting 2 to 3 years. Those predicting such include Richard Mogey "Cycle Analysis", Harry S Dent Jr. , Robert Prechter, Stephen Leeb Ph.D. Leeb is the most optimistic with a forecast of Dow 6000. The rest are forecasting a Dow of as low as 1000 to Dow 3000. Obviously, no one knows for sure. However, for a number of reasons I would not be surprised by a major sell off and depressionary event. For those who poo, poo such a possibility,do a little research on Kondratiev Cycles as well as the authors above. You have nothng to lose by being aware of potential alternative scenarios!

As a point of interest, if such were to take place do you think Connacher could survive a depressionary event? How and why?

Brian
