Krissy thank for posting about Peak Oil,I suppose I could have done the same thing but I have a tendency to post my interpretation of facts as I see them,of course Oil can be replaced,recovery rates can also be improved upon ie hydro cracking,I have a little stock that does just that but alas its taking a long time for it to implemented.So when I call for $200 bbl I base it on the past where bbl reached $150,granted it was due in no small part to speculators with lies and deceit ,but some facts are out there ie no new refineries,after all who wants to invest in a refinery that may or may not be feasible,we do have growth in DEMAND from the likes of China and India,and while there is less DEMAND from USA,due to recession ,recovery and normal growth will see that DEMAND grow,already SUPPLY is effected be it terrorism,or environment,so infrastructure is lacking and vulnerable,it would seem to me that the only incentive to replacing Oil is a higher price,Peak Oil is relevant to Connacher as Connacher is an alternative to "sweet crude",as an investor in Connacher my focus is on the 50,000,bbl that Connacher will produce how much will it cost and how long can production last,as such I pay attention to theories like Peak Oil for me its not all about facts,we cannot control the past ,at todays pace its history before you know the future can be controlled with the right path Connachers is on e I believe in given its track record some would say its not a good record fine ,I just happen to believe and as such am invested..
