Sharky:

The statement that:

That is the morality that has thrown the whole world into the mess it is in. Labor is not properly valued and people who do very little but manipulate others wealth for their own ends are unjustly rewarded.

And your reply: Totally agree with you.

Many disciplines and skills are required for the success of any enterprise. Not only the production and development functions but also, accounting, quality control, process development, finance, business planning, sales, marketing, business and competitive strategy development, finance, personnel and human resource development, quality control, statistical analysis to list a few. In many organizations several of these functions need to be handled by a limited number of people as the financial resources are too limited to permit all of the employees which might be required. But all of the preceding functions and more, are still required.

In many organizations the founders took the personal risk of funding the enterprise in its infancy prior to going "public" by incorporation. Believe me I know as I lost $300,000 in a new business start up of a manufacturing firm twenty-two years ago.

Yes there are instances where "some people" perhaps make far more than many people would feel justified. But, this is not the general reality. And where it does exists, the stockholders have primarily themselves to blame for allowing the situation to continue.
