I am not suggesting we should ignore alternatives. In fact, I am a big supporter of alternative energy as an integrated long term solution to our energy problem. However, the situation with oil and US dependancy on imported sources if not addressed, will in concert with our debt and defecit problems, dig a hole we cannot get out from under. The situation requires an integrated long term strategic approach that does not place our fate in hoped for undeveloped solutions and a hoped for on time arrival!
