Agree that deciding when to sell CLL is a tough call.
I think folks have very different strategies for what they are looking for in an investment.
Sure making money is the objective.
The problem is making the call as to when that goal has been satisfactorily accomplished.
If you did your DD properly on CLL, you know that they have a large, well endowed, chunk of prime oil sands leases. The extent of the bitumen underlaying Great Divide has hardly been scratched and they are methodically drilling the resource with a goal of identifying and cataloging sites for relatively short term production potential.
As opposed to their promotion oriented peers, they do not make any broad claims of "oil in place" or potential production, such as we see from PBG, BQI, UTS etc.
CLL makes no claims that are not drill proven.
My point is that it is difficult for me to sell CLL until I have a better idea of exactly what my shares represent.
Some folks just want to double or trilpe their money and move on.
Problem for me is what do I move those profits into?
It is a good bet that CLL may still represent the best bang for the buck with their ongoing exploration and development programs, so why sell before you know that it isn't the best possible investment at that dollar level?
Obviously oil is among the best of all possible investments here.
And, with their no-nonense approach, for my money, with the organic growth they are demonstrating, CLL is the best of the oil breed...
So I think I'll ride this one until further notice.
