Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Seeks Community Input on Healthcare Issues for Obama Transition Team

Susan G. Komen for the Cure has been invited to provide input to President Elect Obama’s transition team on the issue of healthcare reform. As one of the nation’s most effective grassroots advocacy organizations, Komen for the Cure has the opportunity to shape the new administration’s health care policies as well as ensure that cancer research remains a top priority for upcoming budget considerations.

The Northeast Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is hosting a Community Health Care Forum on December 29, 2008 to gather feedback from local community members. The discussion is being held from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Maggiano’s Restaurant in Beachwood Place Mall, which is located at 26300 Cedar Road in Beachwood, Ohio. Complimentary valet parking is provided.

Komen Northeast Ohio invites concerned citizens to join them for this forum in order to have their voices heard on the matter of healthcare reform. Background materials will be provided and attendees will be encouraged to exchange ideas on this critical policy issue. Ideas will be summarized and forwarded to the Obama Transition Team for their consideration.

For more information, or to RSVP, please contact Komen Northeast Ohio Immediate Past President, Pamela Mascio at 440-834-8338, or via email at pmascio@earthlink.net. About Susan G.
