it would also give ecuador time to enact a constitution, and pass a mining law, and maybe even enough time for a few dunderhead institutional investors to realize the shares they tendered aren't worth just three times the market value any more, but instead five or six times the current price. as far as i'm concerned, they can drag this out as long as they want.
