The fact that no majors step up to the plate tells me more than I want to know. There has to be some real issues with either the gold reserve or with Ecuador. Gold mining is a dog eat dog dirty business and the fact that no one even bothered with a lowball stink bid, say $10 all cash, to top Kinorss really spelled it all.

I would be really be concerned about the Kinross shares, with investments in Russia and Ecuador....
