My pick is Tuesday August 26. Don't ask me why, but I have a hunch that if a rival bid should come, this is the day.

Realistically, if I were to make a bid for ARU, I would not wait for Kinross to make a second bid after its initial bid fails (which we all count on). I would make a rival bid now to make my first bid look good. Also, I won't wait too long because there is an off chance that Kinross may have accumiulated more shares. A week before the deadline would be an ideal day for such a bid.
