When the next bid comes in the time frame to tender to the new bid will be set by the new bidder...it has nothing to do with the Sept 3 date set by Kinross in its offer....Kinross can then extend their time frame...

So the new offer can come at any time before the last day....

Also in our world today where we have agencies like the OSC and SEC watching to see that "EVERYONE PLAYS BY THE RULES" we know that all the other potential bidders will know well in advance if Kinross is any where close to the percentage they need on their offer.

My feeling is a new offer will come, we probably won't like it either, but it will make other potential bidders take notice and re-think their position.

If you look back at the Noranda, Falconbridge and Inco deals you will see that they went on for some time past the initial offer.
