if it came down to questioning what authoprity the president has in all of this, the problem will be more than just mining...it'll be whether Correa lasts very long as president...something not uncommon in Ecuador
Let's hope the congresillo idea is a favorable one...ie appointed by Correa, same views as Correa. It would make things a lot smoother
Correa can't afford to have this go to the assembly and then have this shot down....he's threatened to cut his arm off once too many times already
