A wise man always has an exit strategy.
The hardest decision in the stock game is not when to buy but when to sell.
Do I wait for it to recover or take a loss?
Do I hold on till it goes just a little higher?
Many people become emotionally attached to their stocks.
I personally have learned the hard way to set goals on my stocks and if they reach certain targets or fail to I take action. This takes the emotion out of it.
I had previously taken a good portion of my money off the table here based on what I perceived to be a material change in the risk reward when the government announced the windfall tax. I took some more off just before they held the snap vote on the three concession limit. I have been honest in my posting and did say I was not happy about what was happening at the time.
At this point as I have stated previously I am confused as to what to do and have decided for the time being to hold what I currently have.
I like you will be looking for signals coming out of Ecuador as to what my next action will be.
