The rhetorics in the Correa message is pleasant but has he ever spelled out what "responsible mining" is? Again, this is the kind of political cliche that could mean anything. I would like to see some substance behind this term. I bet nobody has heard that being defined yet.

I guess we'll find out on Monday what they have on mind as "responsible mining". I hear that they already have the mining laws drafted, based from the reports on this BB. It may be a "straw man" draft that they really intend to use that to facilitate input from the invited mining companies and proceed from there.

Let's hope it's not the worst case scenario like that scene from the "Godfather" - "either your signature or your brain will be on the contract". LOL
