Message: Obamas Huge Infrastructrure Plan

CAT may not do as well as the others because of their exposure to declining industry and mining. Engineering firms should get the first contracts. This ifrastructure plan has been telegraphed. I wonder if how much share prices have been bid up. UDN (2xUS$ down) may be usefull to hedge against a sliding greenback but you have to buy it in US$. I bought a little OGN.UN Oleary global infrastructue fund after go4growth suggested it. Infrastructure should be a growing sector as most countries attempt to spend their way out of a recession. BNN did this piece Nov. 11 http://watch.bnn.ca/headline/novembe... Following is a list of Canadian based infrastructure stocks. Aecon Group (ARE) design and construction, Armtec Infrastructure Fund (ARF.UN) drainage and bridging pipe, Badger (BAD.UN) non-destructive excavating, Bird Construction (BDT.UN) general contractor, Genivar Income Fund (GNV.UN) engineering, Shawcor (SCL.A) petrochemical pipeline and pipe services, SNC Lavalin (SNC) engineering construction and operation, Stantec (STN) planning engineering, Stella Jones (SJ) treated wood utility poles. No doubt there are other good plays in this sector. I believe all listed above have potential for stock price appreciation. Regards, wdboat
