Message: some more deflation points

ebear, i still have no idea who did what to whom in the aurelian deal. i hope that someday someone writes his memoirs and tells the story. i'm starting to think there is one group of rich old guys (mining executives, resource fund managers) fighting another group of even richer old guys (jp morgan chase, goldman sachs, bullion banks, the fed, the us treasury) and neither group could care less about retail investors.

i doubt that ecuador would resort to outright nationalization. developing fdn will take much longer than it should, and the government will take its cut. i don't think correa is another chavez, and these things go in cycles, swinging from left to right and back. mexico went down that road, and now it's one of the best jurisdictions in the world. even so, fdn is barely a footnote for kinross, and unless something drastic happens, nothing in ecuador will have much effect on the kinross share price for years to come.
