OTTAWA, CANADA--(Marketwired - Sept. 29, 2014) - Top intellectual property licensing company, WiLAN (TSX:WIN) (NASDAQ:WILN), today announced that a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company has granted Asurion LLC ("Asurion") a license to certain patents related to data device security. WiLAN secured the rights to license the patents through a licensing partnership agreement executed in August 2013.

The consideration to be paid by Asurion to the WiLAN and all other terms of the license agreement are confidential. All litigation between the parties will be dismissed.
