Skippen told a BNN reporter yesterday that WI-LIN has been persuing a friendly take over bid for Mosaid for some time with no success. Therefore Win has come in wth this hostile take over bid at $38. My TD screen is currently showing bid-ask at 6.90 for WIN as of 8:45 am. Skippen will appear on BNN today at 2:15 pm EST. Hopefully he will discuss his plans to raise the dividend if the take over goes ahead. This will ultimately be fantastic news for WIN even if the offer is ultimately rejected since it will definitely focus attention on the patent issue. It should become very clear that our patents are currently worth much more than the price the market is currently putting on them. I would not be shocked if some bigger shark takes a run at WIN in the near future and at a much higher price. The icing on the cake is that my Spanish Princess owns a bunch of Mosaid having held on long after I foolishly sold all of my position.
